A successful fire inspection is required in order for the City of Spirit Lake to approve and finalize your business license (new businesses and annual inspections). New places of business will be inspected when everything is in place and ready to open for business.

Business Self-Inspection Guide

The Spirit Lake Fire Protection District charges a fee of $25.00 for business inspections and $40.00 for businesses with a commercial kitchen. The fee includes the initial and one follow-up inspection.
